We all know that winter break is not the longest one, we all stop and think: "should I start a new show?" Yes you should. Here are 5 options of short TV shows that are not that famous but are as good as the ones that everybody watches and you can start and finish on this winter break.

1. Eye Candy:

The hacker Lindy Sampson (Victoria Justice) was put in a online date website by her best friend, Sophia (Kiersey Clemons), making a virtual killer obsessed about her. At the same time that she is trying to discover the killer's identity with Tommy (Casey Jon Deidrick) and the cyber police department, she looks for her sister who was kidnapped a time back.

If you have a side that loves thriller you can, for sure, dive into this show. Eye Candy is really short, having only 10 episodes in one season, - sadly - the second season was canceled, but I can grant you that all the questions were answered. Of course we'd love to have more seasons but life isn't always fair. Anyways, despite the fact that it's a short TV show it's worth to get attached to the characters and to the story, even if it is for a short period of time.

2. Degrassi: Next Class:

Degrassi: Next Class tells the story of Degrassi Community School students, a school in Toronto, who have to deal with lots of different teenage problems while try to pass through High School. They have to overcome bullying, mental illnesses, racial discrimination, homophobia, drugs use, feminism, sexuality, religion, deadly diseases, online abuse and dysfunctional families.

Whoever enjoys a show about problematic teenagers can bet on this one. The series has two season with 10 episodes each and it's on Netflix.

3. Black Mirror:

Black Mirror is a British TV show to people who like to think a lot. As it's own creator said the show has a different set and a different cast on each episode but all of them show our reality nowadays. Black Mirror has attracted the attention of famous writers like Stephen King and even actors like Robert Downey Jr. It basically talks about the dark side of a technological life.

The series has 3 seasons, the first two ones with 3 episodes each and the last one with 12 episodes, which makes it relatively short. The show is on Netflix and being produced by it. It's an amazing TV show that will blow your brain up and make you reflect about today's world, it's sure worth it.

4. Twisted:

Coming back to criminal thrillers, Twisted is about a guy, Denny Desai (Ava Jogia), who at eleven years hanged his own aunt and was sent to prison. After completing his five years of punishment, he comes back home wanting to reunify his oldest friendships. But things get complicated when he becomes the main suspect of a classmate's murder. He decides that will proof his own innocence to everyone while he hides the true reason of why he killed his aunt.

Twisted is on Netflix, counting with 1 season composed by 19 episodes. The show is ideal for whoever is attracted by mysteries, crimes and secrets but, of course, does not loose when talking about love (so Pretty Little Liars' fans don't loose this chance). Sadly, more seasons won't be released anymore, however, the show is deserving anyways, even if it's only to see the old crush, Ava Jogia (who was Beck in Victorious).

5. The Carrie Diaries:

This show is a spin-off of the TV show Sex in the City, who's story is told on the 80's, about the teenager phase of Carrie Bradshaw. Carrie (AnnaSophie Robb) is a teenager who loves New York and lives with her dad and sister. She has to deal with the recent death of her mom and the problems of a sixteen year old teen. In the school she faces a little crush on the new guy, Sebastian Kydd (Austin Butler), who does not hide the mutual feeling for her. She also has to deal with her rival Donna Ladonna (Chloe Bridges), who will do everything to be with Sebastian. Carrie's friends also have their own problems and secrets, like loosing virginity, homosexuality, and the search for their true self.

This is likewise a very good show for the ones interested in problematic teens. It is classified as drama and counts with 2 seasons, a total of 26 episodes if they are added together. Sadly, the show was canceled cause of low audience. But I assure you it's defiantly worth your time.
